This active optical cable adheres to industry specifications including SFF-8665 (QSFP56), SFF-8636 (management interface), and IEEE 200GbE protocols. It employs VCSEL-based optical technology with PAM4 modulation to achieve high-speed data transmission over multi-mode fiber with minimal error rates.
The cable transforms electrical signals from the 200Gb/s QSFP56 port into optical signals, which are then split and transmitted across four multi-mode fiber pairs. At the dual QSFP56 terminals, these optical signals are reconverted into electrical signals, providing two independent 100Gb/s channels. An integrated EEPROM facilitates real-time performance monitoring and system management.
